For You

Do your teeth stop you from smiling as much as you’d like?

Cfast braces are a discreet, fast, fixed brace system able to straighten teeth in four to six months. We are happy to offer the innovative Cfast treatment to patients looking for fast, effective teeth straightening.

Cfast braces are an advanced fixed brace treatment that uses discreet tooth-coloured wires and brackets to move crooked, crowded and gapped teeth into alignment. Cfast braces are ideal for adults and treat a number of different orthodontic conditions. However, to ensure we find the best brace treatment for you we will carry out a thorough analysis of your teeth before a decision is made.
The process for clear braces such as Cfast is simple. It takes between 4-6 months before you notice any significant improvements! Our orthodontic treatment doesn’t affect all of your teeth either; we simply apply pressure on your front six teeth only.

Cfast can give you something to smile about. Whereas fixed braces use metal wires, our Cfast braces incorporate clear brackets making it somewhat less obvious! The Cfast braces use special nickel-titanium wires to put pressure on the front six teeth and to move them into place. The process is painless and you can expect to experience minimal discomfort.

The benefits of CFast braces:

They are Fast – On average treatment takes around six months which is much shorter than many orthodontic treatments.  This can make it an attractive option for many people.

They are Affordable – shorter treatment times can help to dramatically cut costs.  A beautiful smile is now achievable for many people who may have considered treatment too expensive in the past.

They are Discreet – With braces made from clear brackets and toothe coloured wires they are less visible, enabling you to smile confidently both during and after treatment

FAQ’s

How long does treatment take?

Cfast is a procedure in cosmetic dentistry know as cosmetic orthodontics or short-term orthodotics.  By definition treatment times are significantly shorter than conventional orthodontics.  Treatment should take no longer than 9 months but the vast majority are complete in a 4-6 month period.

Your Dentist will be able to give you a rough idea of how long treatment will take in your case when you attend for your initial consultation.

Will I have problems cleaning my teeth?

It can be a little more challenging to clean your teeth if you are wearing a brace.  However good oral hygiene is very important during treatment and your dentist or dental hygienist will show you how to best look after your teeth as well as suggest the right products to use.

Will I be restricted in what I can eat?

If have opted for a fixed brace the it is advisable to avoid hard foods such as nuts, popcorns, crusty bread or any such foods that may accidentally dislodge the brackets.  It is also best to stay away from heavily coloured foods which may on occasion stain the brace, however if this does happen your dentist will be able to easily restore the cosmetic appearance.

With removable aligners, it is best that these are removed before eating or drinking.

Is it painful?

As with any orthodontic procedure there can be some discomfort for a few days after appliance is fitted.  However because with Cfast the forces are very light usually after the first 7-10 days there should be little to no pain at all.

During treatment you may find that the teeth become a little mobile and sensitive to pressure.  This is quite normal and will fully resolve when the braces are removed.
